Wednesday, December 13th, is the Birthday Party for Jesus!

We will take up a special Christmas offering for our Awana Missions in Kenya.

All clubbers will be dropped off and picked up in the usual locations at the usual times (5:45-7:15 PM).

We will have snacks this night, so if your child has an allergy, please send a special snack with his or her name on it and let your child’s Director and Leader know about the snack.

  • Puggles will have Oreo cookies and juice boxes in their room.
  • Cubbies will have a regular schedule and need their uniform and  handbook. They will also have their party in their classrooms with Oreo cookies and juice boxes.
  • Sparks and T&Ters will have their party in the Gathering Room. They ONLY need their uniform and missionary offering, but NOT their Bible or handbook. Sections will not be said this night.

Sparks and T&Ters Leaders: please remember to bring a finger food snack (NO NUTS, please!) of something salty or healthy (like fruits or veggies) to the Gathering Room before you report to your classroom or the Soul Summit room. Thank you, Leaders!!! 🙂

The Birthday Party for Jesus is on December 13th for all four clubs:

  1. Puggles and Cubbies will have a party in their classrooms of Christmas cookies and juice boxes. Cubbies need their uniform and handbook for “Special Day 2” Bear Hug.
  2. Sparks and T&T will start the night in the Soul Summit Room 3105 as usual. After Large Group Time, both clubs will move downstairs to the Gathering Room for the party. After the party, they will move down to the Game Room be picked up as usual. They do need their uniform, but they do not need their handbooks because NO sections will be said this night.
  3. Sparks and T&T Leaders need to bring a party snack (NO nuts) and not a sweet one because we will have the beautiful, ginormous, 3-layer birthday cake again with juice boxes and water.
  4. Parents, please send a labeled safe snack with your child if they have food allergies. You are welcome to join us for the fun and to help monitor your child’s food if you wish to do so. 🙂
  • We will NOT meet for Awana Clubs on December 20, 27, and January 3, but will begin the new semester on January 10, 2018! 🙂

What?!? How has this semester gone by so fast? We only have 3 more Awana Clubs meetings before Christmas break:

  • November 29  – Regular night
  • December 6   – Regular night and Student Leaders serve
  • December 13   Birthday Party for Jesus (no sections for Sparks and T&T, Cubbies say Special Day 2) Stay tuned for more to come about this special night!
  • Then it’s Christmas break and New Year’s break until we meet again on January 10!

😇 Commander Tim held down the fort and said everyone brought 432 cans and boxes of food tonight for THANKFULNESS NIGHT!!! THANK YOU TO ALL!!!  😊

Last year you brought 334 cans, boxes, and bags of food for Front Porch Ministries for Thankfulness Night, so how many can you bring TONIGHT?!?! Let’s FILL the Hazelips’ truck! 😊🥫

Remember to bring canned and boxed food on Wednesday for Front Porch Ministries. They need mac-n-cheese, canned corn, canned green beans, and/or peanut butter as greatly needed items. They are thankful for any and all items! 😊🥫

NEXT Wednesday, November 15th, is Thankfulness Night in Awana Clubs! Please bring boxed or canned food items to show your thankfulness for what is in your pantry and to share with those in need this Thanksgiving. The food collected will be given that night to our Global Focus partner, Front Porch Ministries, who have especially requested mac-n-cheese, canned corn, canned green beans, and/or peanut butter as greatly needed items, but they are thankful for any items!

Puggles and Cubbies: please put your food items in the labeled box at the Preschool desk downstairs where you check in at the computer.

Sparks and T&Ters: show your food items to your Room Secretary to receive the 50 bonus points for participating in the theme night, then bring your food to the Soul Summit Room to put in the labeled box.

STUDENT LEADERS: TONIGHT is your week to serve! Since there is not a youth service because of WIPEOUT last night, invite a Judson youth to come with you to see what we do in Awana for a hands on experience in serving the littlest ones!

(NOTE: Awana Clubs will not meet on November 22nd for Thanksgiving Break.)

Pumpkin Orange Night is tomorrow! Got your orange ready?!?  🎃

Sparks and T&Ters: Be in the Soul Summit room by 5:45 PM.

Please pray for the hearts of the children to hear God’s Word through this special night. Parents, you are welcome to join us. 😊. Come hang out at the back of the Soul Summit room.

Leaders and Clubbers: Are YOU ready with your orange for Wednesday night? 🎃

Sparks and T&Ters get 50 points for wearing orange AND 10 points for wearing your uniform!

The Pumpkin Patch Parable: Special Edition

Student Leaders: we will see you on Wednesday in orange, too!

We L.O.V.E. our Student Leaders!

Just a reminder that we’re on fall break this week due to the fact that both Davidson and Williamson counties overlap for fall break this year.

Keep working with your children five minutes a day on their sections.

See you next week!
